Twyford is a small village located in the North-West of the County of Buckinghamshire.

The village comprises some 250 houses located primarily along the village roads, and has the benefit of a Church, Primary School, Chapel, Village Hall, Shop, Public House and a Recreation Ground.

The village has a thriving community spirit and holds numerous events throughout the year including the yearly Panto, May Fete, Church Fete, Annual Fun Run, School Fete, Rock in the Rec and Carols around the Christmas Tree.

In addition the village has two established Cricket Teams and a football team that ensure something is usually happening at the Recreation Ground throughout the year.

The Parish Council are the link between the village and the Local Authorities and undertakes certain tasks within the village for the benefit of the village.

The Parish Council cannot do this solely on its own and asks people to attend the monthly meetings, to discuss and bring items to the attention of the Council, to ascertain what help and assistance can be provided.

Members of the Public are welcome to the Parish Council meetings and we allow 15 minutes at the beginning of each meeting for Parishioners to speak and make representations either to us or any District or County Councillors that maybe present.

Next Meeting: May 14th 2012 at 7:30pm.

Venue: The Committee Room, Village Hall.
